Marysville Community Mourns the Loss of REALTOR®, Firefighter, and Community Leader Mike Deising

The Marysville, Michigan, community is mourning the loss of Mike Deising, a respected real estate professional, dedicated firefighter, devoted husband, and community leader whose passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of family, friends, colleagues, and countless clients he served throughout his life.

A lifelong resident of Marysville, Mike built a legacy rooted in integrity, service, and genuine care for others. A graduate of Marysville High School’s Class of 1990, he later studied Firefighting and Business at St. Clair County Community College (SC4), preparing for a life dedicated to both public service and professional excellence.

Mike entered the real estate industry in 2001 after spending 13 years with Coca-Cola Enterprises, where he developed the customer-first philosophy that became the foundation of his career: “The Customer is Why.” That principle guided every relationship he built, earning him the trust of buyers, sellers, and fellow REALTORS® across St. Clair County.

As Associate Broker of Deising Real Estate, powered by Epique Realty, Mike became one of the area’s most accomplished real estate professionals. He became a Broker/Owner in 2008 and consistently ranked among the top-producing agents in St. Clair County. Since 2013, Hour Detroit Magazine repeatedly recognized him among the top five percent of Metro Detroit real estate professionals, a testament to his expertise, work ethic, and unwavering commitment to his clients.

Outside of real estate, Mike devoted 27 years to serving as a Paid-On-Call Firefighter with the Marysville Fire Department. His passion for community service extended into numerous leadership roles, including serving as President of the St. Clair County Firefighters Association and President of the Eastern Thumb Association of REALTORS® in 2015. He was also an active member of St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, the Sons of the American Legion Post 449, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 3702, Port Huron Moose Lodge No. 158, Port Huron Moose Legion No. 105, and the Marysville Business Council.

Above all, Mike cherished his family. He and his wife, Pam, a registered nurse, shared a loving marriage that began in 2001. Together they celebrated the accomplishments of their son, Alex, now a software engineer, and welcomed his wife, Cheyanne, into the family.

Following the news of his passing, tributes poured in from throughout the community. Christopher Troy remembered Mike as his best friend and collaborator, recalling their work together organizing Hot Wheels Weekend and sharing a love of music. Chandler McElhaney reflected on Mike’s willingness to offer advice and encouragement, while Danielle R. Christoff described him as someone who made everyone feel valued.

The Eastern Thumb Association of REALTORS® also honored Mike, remembering him as a mentor, teammate, and friend whose infectious laugh, generous spirit, and unwavering support inspired everyone around him. Their tribute noted that Mike always wanted others to succeed and would “give you the shirt off his back without thinking twice.”

Though his passing leaves profound sadness, Mike Deising’s legacy of leadership, kindness, and selfless service will continue to live on through the countless lives he touched. He will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but for the compassion, generosity, and joy he shared so freely with his family, friends, colleagues, and the Marysville community he proudly called home.
